If you are considering writing articles for money it is important that you understand, not only how to do so, but also how to make money writing articles. Many great writers have no clue how to use their skills to make money in internet marketing, and many great internet marketers cannot write for peanuts!

They rely on the writers they hire for much of their marketing skills, and likewise, their writers rely on the internet marketers for their income. But why? Why rely on others? Why not write your own articles to market your own products, and then the corollary: why not create your own products to make best use of your writing abilities?

There can be no negative answers to these questions if you are serious about making money online. Writing articles for money is not difficult if you know how to do it, and likewise, once you have developed your writing skills, using them to make money is also not difficult. It is not the purpose of this article to teach you how to write - no article can do that, and if anybody claims to be able to do that in around 750 words then they are lying to you.

Nor is it my purpose to teach you how to use articles to make money through your internet marketing expertise, or even to teach you about internet marketing. This article is purely and simply intended to offer you something to think about, and if you like the idea then you might possibly want to learn more about how you can realize your dreams.

You make money by having a product to sell, advertising it and then selling it. You therefore have three steps. Which of these involves articles? Let's check each out in turn and then you can decide the answer to that question.

First the product: You cannot make money unless you have a means to do so, and for the majority that is a product rather than a service. If you have a hobby, an interest, a specialized occupation, or if there is any other aspect of your life that enables you to write an authoritative text about a specific topic, then you are off to a running start. Over 90% of people use the internet to find information, and if you can provide them with what they want then they will pay you for it.

Then you have to write on your topic, or niche as it is called in the internet marketing business. If you learn how to write effectively, then you will be able to sell product after product, but even one product will make you money. Write around 5,000 - 10,000 words on your topic, offering information that people are seeking. How do you know what they are seeking? Join forums!

That's right - join forums that focus on your niche. Don't start writing just yet, but seek out the forums, and then join them. Be truthful with your details, and then wait. Read the posts, and perhaps make a few yourself - you can ask questions and make a few points. Eventually start answering some questions, and perhaps help others with problems. The point is that you should be regarded as a regular guy, and somebody that knows a bit about your niche.

You should also take note of the questions being asked. Then write your eBook that answers many of the questions. They might notice your name, and believe you to be an expert in your niche, and so might buy the book, but that is not your immediate objective in joining the forums. It is to get to know what people are talking about, what their problems are, and what their questions are.

Answer these, and they will adore you for it. If you can write intelligibly, and with a bit of authority, then they will buy your book and any others that you publish. Article writing can be used, not only to write your books, but also to help you to make money writing articles. Continue writing articles, and continue expanding your business by publishing articles on article directories.

The more you write the more accomplished a writer you will become, and writing articles for money as well as for publication on article directories will not only get your name known, but will also enable you to make money writing articles.
